Aich Gati of Ruposha upazila and ward-17 and 24 under Khulna Municipality will be declared as Red Zones and the areas will be put under lock-down, informed a source of district administration in Khulna on Monday noon.
According to the decision of the meeting held on Resisting Coronavirus Spread at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner of Khulna, all shops, shopping malls of the district will remain open only on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and a 42-bed unit hospital will be constructed at the third floor of Khula General Hospital to treat Covid-19 patients.
Presided over by Helal Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Khulna, the meeting was attended, among others, by Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Mayor of KCC, Dr. Anowar Hossain Howlader,Divisional Commissioner and Dr. Rasheda Sultana, Director of Health of Khulna division.
It is learnt, the spread of Coronavirus took a serious turn in ward 17, 24 under KCC and Aich Gati union of Ruipsha upazila, Red Zones have been declared in those areas and the areas will also be put under lockdown till July-16.
