The public prosecutor office of Chattogram held a rally at the court building in Chattogram on Wednesday protesting the threat to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Chattogram PP Advocate Sheikh Iftekhar Saimul Chowdhury presided over the protest rally where a number of lawyers participated.
General Secretary of Chattogram District Bar Association Bajlur Rashid Mintu, Metropolitan PP Abdur Rashid, Additional GP Fakhruddin Jabed, PP Nikhil Kantinath, Additional PP Mostafizur Rahman and Additional PP Advocate Azaharul Haque were present at the rally, among others.
In his speech, Advocate Sheikh Iftekhar Saimul Chowdhury said that threat to kill the Prime Minister is a part of the deep conspiracy. The person who made the threat is the representative of the plotters.
He demanded that the masterminds and supporters of this conspiracy be prosecuted under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
