The temporary doctors, nurses and health workers of the health department working in the Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) isolation center will be made permanent under the implementation of employment regulations. Preference will be given to those on duty at the Covid-19 Isolation Center.
City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin promised an exchange of views with 16 doctors, 5 nurses, 14 lab technicians, paramedics, pharmacists, 11 health workers and 6 sample booth staff of the health department in charge of the isolation center at the CCC old office on Saturday.
The mayor said those in charge would be given three days of training. As the number of Covid-19 infections increases day by day, there is a need to increase the isolation center.
In view of this reality, an isolation center is being set up at the initiative of CCC. Education Health Standing Committee President Nazmul Haque Duke presided over the meeting.
CCC CEO Md Samsuddoha, Mayor's Private Secretary Abul Hashem, Chief Health Officer Dr Selim Akhter Chowdhury, Isolation Center Director Dr Sushant Barua and others were present on the occasion.
