Syed Abdul Hadi, Farida Parveen and Kiran Chandra Roy are three legendary musicians. This time they will be found on the same stage. They will sit in the judge’s seat in the song competition.

In October last year, the regional song competition began titled ‘Shekorer Khoje 2019’. Value Added Service (VAS) provider E.B. Solutions Limited (EBS) is hosting the grand finale of the programme which will be held on February 5. The three legends will appear as judges in this arrangement. The best three will be chosen by their judgment.

Initially, nearly 5 thousand participants submitted local songs by calling the Banglalink Local Radio at 22001 from different regions of the country. From there, the first step was to choose 18 people. Top 9 of them were chosen by the general audience vote. This time, 5 will fight in the grand finale. They will be presenting the music to the judges at the Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the National Museum on February 5. The finalists are Gurupad Gupta (Khulna), Jannatul Ferdous Lisa (Rangpur), Mehzabin Alam Mumu (Rajshahi), Nabila Mehzabin (Chandpur), Hasibur Rahman Anik (Mymensingh) and Sujan (Chattogram).

The organizers said the aim of the competition was to preserve the tradition of regional songs in the richness of Bangla songs and to highlight the regional song artistes spread throughout the country. The competition will be held on a regular basis, they said.
