While most of the visitors got Bangladesh weather unforgiving for them, this is not the case for the Afghanistan who believes they won’t find it tough to cope with the condition for their familiarity with this sort of condition and also for their regular stint with this country’s club in domestic cricket, report BSS.

The Afghans are currently playing a two-day game against BCB XI as part of their preparation for the one-off Test against Bangladesh, slated to begin from September 5 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS).

Chattogram’s hot and humid condition is usually tough to be coped with even for the Asian teams, as it was seen in the past but Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, a regular visitor in Bangladesh differed with the fact.

“The weather is not issue because we have just come from Abu Dhabi where it was 45 degree Celsius. We spent 10 days there, so we are quite familiar with it,” Nabi told the reporters in Chattogram on Saturday.

“There is little bit humidity, which is disturbing but hopefully we will adjust with 4-5 days here. For the last 5-6 years, we have been regularly coming here to play cricket. Most of the players in our squad are quite used to this condition,” he added.

“There is a little bit of humidity [in Chattogram] but hopefully we will adjust in the 4-5 days here. I think for the past 5-6 years we have been regularly coming to Bangladesh. Most of the guys are used to this kind of weather,” Nabi remarked.

Nabi however emphasized on playing positive cricket even though there are still almost new in Test arena.

“We will try our best to play positive cricket in the Test matches. I think the plus point is both the teams are used to Asian conditions and have Asian players,” said Nabi.

Bangladesh is likely to form a team with four-pronged spin attack as it becomes the norm for their home Test. But Nabi said Bangladeshi pacers also could pose threat and hence his urged his teammates to show the patience and application to thrive in the match.

“Apart from a good spin attack, they have also good fast bowlers. The pitch, I think, does not have enough bounce. Most of the time Chattogram pitches are batting pitches and we have some quality batsmen and some quality spinners as well,” he concluded.
