What began with a childhood fascination with the camera has gradually developed into a career that stretches across digital content, entertainment and entrepreneurship. For Hasna Akter Sraboni, widely known online as Sraboni Samba, the journey has been shaped by persistence, experimentation and a willingness to explore opportunities beyond the digital space.
Born and raised in Chatkhil, Noakhali, Sraboni developed an interest in appearing in front of the camera from an early age. However, pursuing that ambition was not straightforward. She did not have access to professional equipment or extensive opportunities, and her early efforts were largely shaped by the resources available to her.
During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, she decided to take a more serious step into content creation. Starting with simple videos, she experimented with different forms of digital content and gradually learned how to engage with an online audience. One of her early videos unexpectedly went viral, giving her the encouragement to continue.
“That moment became a turning point in my life. I began receiving love and appreciation from people, and my family also stood beside me. That was when I felt that perhaps this was the path I should follow,” Sraboni says.
At the age of 21, she entered the media industry professionally. Her early activities included blogging and TikTok before she moved into music videos and dramas. Her projects include Tumi Amar Hoia Thaiko, while Lojjaboti Kemne Bojhaye Koto Bhalobashi later attracted considerable attention, with the song receiving more than two million views.
Over the years, Sraboni has worked in more than seven music videos and over four dramas. At the same time, she has continued developing her presence as a content creator and influencer.
Her professional ambitions, however, have gradually expanded beyond entertainment.
Sraboni has entered the business sector as the founder of Samba Elite Beauty Lounge in Kandirpar, Comilla. The venture represents a new direction in her career, allowing her to combine her public-facing experience with an interest in building a business.
“Today, I am a content creator, influencer and entrepreneur. As the founder of Samba Elite Beauty Lounge, I have been able to turn one of my dreams into reality,” she says.
Her move into entrepreneurship comes at a time when Bangladesh’s digital creator landscape is becoming increasingly diverse. Social media is no longer limited to entertainment or personal expression; for many creators, it has become a starting point for opportunities in media, branding, business and other professional fields.
Sraboni’s career reflects that shift. Her initial visibility through digital content led to opportunities in music videos and dramas, while her experience in maintaining an online presence has accompanied her move into entrepreneurship.
Her personal life has also been connected to her digital career. Through social media, she met her life partner, who is also a content creator. She says their relationship is based on mutual respect and support as they continue to pursue their respective professional goals.
While she has already worked across several areas, Sraboni says she remains focused on developing her career further. She wants to continue taking on meaningful entertainment projects while expanding her business activities.
“If I get the opportunity to work on good projects, I hope to do much more in the future,” she says.
She also acknowledges the role of her family and audience in helping her sustain the journey. Their encouragement, she says, has been an important source of motivation since the early days of her career.
“I believe this achievement is not mine alone. It is the result of your love, my hard work and the blessings of Allah,” she says.
From a young woman experimenting with videos during the 2022 World Cup to a content creator, performer and entrepreneur, Sraboni Samba’s career illustrates how digital platforms can evolve into gateways to wider professional opportunities.
Her journey is still developing, but its direction is increasingly clear. With her work in entertainment continuing alongside Samba Elite Beauty Lounge, Sraboni is moving beyond the role of a digital creator and attempting to establish a more diverse professional identity—one that connects creativity, media and entrepreneurship.
