The biggest sports complex in Asia will complete by 2024

Bangladesh Professional Football League will get the real professional spirit when Bashundhara Kings will play their home match of the ongoing TVS Bangladesh Premier League Football today (Thursday) at their home venue.

Bashundhara Kings football ground is one of the masterpiece sports compositions at their gigantic sports complex, it is one of the biggest sports compound in Asia set up under a private administrator.

Ahead of opening the football venue, Bashundhar Kings president Imrul Hassan illustrated all about the project of their Sports Complex in a press conference at the media room of the football ground on Wednesday.

Imrul, first of all said, “I think it is a landmark in our country’s football as it is the first time any of the club is hosting a match at their home venue containing almost all kinds of modern facilities.”

Imrul when describing about their football venue also said, “After completing the full works it will have its real shape and turn into a full full-fledged stadium and would be a world class venue to have the eligibility to host World Cup match. The ground is laid up with all modern technology. The surroundings of the venue will also have a sporting atmosphere.” 

"Actually the chairman of the Bashundhara Group Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and his elder brother once were top level hockey players. Sports is in their blood and their sports back-ground inspired them to set up a sports complex and took the initiative to make their dream come true," Imrul replied to a query.   

The Kings president when explaining about the sports complex said that it is a project of Taka 3000 crore but the budget would be expand to Taka 15,000 crore when the complex will include a hockey ground, football practice ground, cricket practice ground, Gold Course, Swimming, dormitory, football-code, health center and a green park.

Imrul said, “In fact we have nothing to feel proud with our sports, we are highly expected that it would be the biggest multifarious sports hub in Asia.”

Meanwhile, the Project in-charge Engineer Mohammed Amanullah, who was also present in the press meet informed that the whole works of the complex is expected to be accomplished by June 2024.
