Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Thakurgaon Sadar Police Station Tanvirul Islam has been conducting awareness campaign among the people of the district every day to create public awareness for the prevention of corona virus. OC Tanvirul is seen humbly requesting people to stay in the house at various areas in the district moving with a mic in his vehicle.
He has been working day and night to create awareness among the general public. His initiative has been lauded by the public. Rezaul Islam of Rahmanpur Union of Sadar Upazila said, "I have never seen such humble behavior of the police with the people before.
At the Chourasta area of the town, a pedestrian named Joynal said unlike other districts the police of Thakurgaon are treating the general public well. He thanked the police for their humbleness and their initiative of making the public aware.
OC Tanvirul Islam said "If we can make people conscious about the virus by humbly requesting them there will be no need of punishment. That's why I'm trying to explain the need to remain in home to everyone. We have almost brought the situation under control and I hope everyone will remain in home”.
