Distribution of textbooks among the students of Munshiganj Sadar Upazila has started. On Saturday, the first day of the new year, new books were distributed among the students following the hygiene rules. Munshiganj-3 MP Advocate Mrinal Kanti Das inaugurated the book distribution programme as the chief guest. The students were overwhelmed with joy and excitement after receiving the new book. Some of them ran with a joyous smile after getting the book in their hands, while others wrapped their books around their chests and made their way home.
Sheikh Mohammad Jahangir Alam, President of the Board of Directors of a High School presided over the function. Sheikh Mohammad Lutfar Rahman, General Secretary of District Awami League and General Secretary of Awami League spoke as special guest in the brief discussion meeting of the book distribution program. Maurin Akhter Mau, Executive Engineer, District Education Engineering Department, Md. Benazir Ahmed, District Education Officer, Mir Nasiruddin Ujjwal, Editor, Daily Sabhyatar Alo, Alhaj Md. Julhas, Former Chairman, Baligaon Union Parishad, Alhaj Islam, President, Dhaka Metropolitan Fruit Traders Association. Former president of Jala Chhatra League Advocate Golam Mawla Tapan, president of Bajrayogini Union Awami League Haji Robin Hossain, prominent fruit trader Md. Al-Amin Mollah, members of school management council Masud Hawlader, Md. Jamal Hossain, Haji Dulal and others were present at the programme. Welcoming remarks were made by Md Zahirul Islam, Headmaster of Bajrayogini High School. The programme was conducted by Md Farhad Hossain.
