The government’s ability to test samples for possible coronavirus infection was very low for a considerable amount of time. But it is very encouraging to finally know that there are more testing facilities in the country which have started operation and more are also underway.
Although these new testing facilities will take time to come to full operating capabilities, it is hopeful for the general people to be ensured that there is greater chance to get a successful test done now that it was before. However, experts pointed out that such initiatives should have been taken long before the possibilities of wider transmission of the deadly virus.
Now with the current number infected circling around mid 400s it is imperative that more and more testing is done to identify and isolate those individuals of society who have contracted the virus. A report published in this daily shows that the number of total testing centres in the country will soon rise up to 28.

the testing capability for coronavirus holistically
This will undoubtedly greatly increase the testing capability for coronavirus holistically. On the other hand, even though testing facilities have increased, there are some who believe that the quality of sample collection has become very poor. This is mainly because of the lack of diligence of the health workers who collect and transport the samples.
This gives rise to another problem; if the samples are poor in condition then the test results might also become inaccurate, leaving the chance for a failure to detect the virus. Also, testing facilities should be expanded to the communities where higher number of foreign workers have returned and perhaps socialized with others.
There was a lack of proper screening and testing during the outbreak of the virus which means that there is a higher possibility of the spread continuing around the areas where a higher concentration of returnee foreign workers are located. As such, it is imperative that the number of proper testing is done in those areas to identify and isolate the possible hosts of the virus.
