Rapid Action Batalion (RAB) Director General Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said teens need to be freed from gang culture while, addressing a debate on ‘Reasons for Growth of Teen Gangs’.

The shadow parliamentary debate was organized by Debate for Democracy at FDC in Tejgaon on Saturday. Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron, Chairman of Debate for Democracy, presided over the debate.

The RAB DG added, “All concerned, including parents, need to keep an eye on our future generations so that they do not create a shameful environment. In the absence of family ties, it is important to ensure that children and adolescents do not go astray.”

He further said, the misuse of social media must be prevented so that technology does not mislead teenagers and young people. Because, if technology is left out, we will fall behind. The good side of it should be accepted and the bad side should be avoided.

Law enforcement is always vigilant in controlling those who are getting involved in gang culture through the misuse of social media. Somehow the teenage gang culture will be brought under control. The younger generation cannot be allowed to fail like this, he again added.
