Books have been distributed under the initiative of Mahadan Union Forum to keep the youth away from drugs, terrorism, corruption and social degradation at Sarishabari in Jamalpur. Educational books were distributed among the youth of Hiranyabari village of Mahadan Union on Wednesday (August 10) morning. Samajsevak Abu Taher, executive director of Mahadan Union Forum, inaugurated the program.
Forum volunteers Shafiq Bhuiyan, Sajjad Hossain, Rashedul Islam Vidyut, Shafikul Islam Bakul and other local dignitaries were present.
Abu Taher, executive director of Mahadan Union Forum, said that reading books enlightens people, develops talent and creates skilled manpower in the society.
Therefore, to keep the youth away from social degradation including drugs, the initiative of distributing books has been taken. This program will be continued in various villages of the union.
