The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has ordered to organize in-house training for teachers in all schools to implement the new curriculum in classes VIII and IX.
Schools should organize in-house training on their own initiative by the institution heads and trained teachers. According to the teacher's assistant, the heads of the institutions have been asked to monitor whether the classes are going on or not.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education issued an order with this instruction on Tuesday. The order from the directorate has been sent to the headmasters and principals of all public and private schools.
According to the order signed by Assistant Director SM Ziaul Haider Henry, all institutions have been asked to properly implement the new curriculum and each head of the institution will organize in-house training. Besides, the head of the institution will monitor whether the teacher assistant is conducting the class activities according to the training taken by the subject teachers of his institution or not.
The implementation of the new curriculum has started in the sixth and seventh grades of the academic year 2023. In continuation of that, the implementation of the new curriculum started in the eighth and ninth grades of the academic year 2024.
The directorate also informed that the subject-wise teacher training program of each educational institution has already been completed for the implementation of the new curriculum.
It is known that the training program for teachers of EIIN educational institutions was conducted from December 17 to 31.
