It is quite embarrassing for all of us to see in different national dailies that our female students are almost every day falling victim to sexual harassment by some teachers at their educational institutions.
Teaching is a noble profession, but some teachers are doing such heinous crime, deviating from their ethics and ideals. This cannot be tolerated and must stop.
It is a shame that some teachers are getting involved in sexual harassment of female students at different universities, colleges and schools across the country. We think the recent incidents of sexual harassment by teachers are a wake-up call for the authorities concerned to act fast to address the issue.
A culture of impunity, moral degradation and university teachers’ connection with influential people are encouraging the teachers to commit such heinous crime on the campuses. If immediate measures are not taken, there will be a public cry for safe campus for our girls.

It is observed that moral degradation is responsible for repeated incidents of sexual harassment at universities, colleges and schools. We strongly protest these barbaric incidents and demand trial of the teachers involved in sexual harassment.
We also urge all to build a strong movement, demanding investigation into incidents of sexual harassment. We also demand establishment of an effective anti-sexual harassment cell on every campus as soon as possible. Recent incidents of moral degradation in educational institutions are very unfortunate.
The occurrence of sexual harassment and other unpleasant incidents in some leading universities of the country is alarming. We also have to create social movement against them right now.
Besides, teachers and students of educational institutions, politicians and the elite of the society have to be more aware about such incidents. We should lay focus not only on academic education but also on development of morality and social values.
We all must stand by our female students and protect them from violence and all forms of abuse. The teachers, who have lost their morality, should be given exemplary punishment as a warning to others.
