Teachers cut paddy for farmers

Teachers of the Upazila Junior Secondary and Secondary Teachers-Employees Welfare Association co-operated with farmers in cutting paddy at Keshabpur upazila in Jashore on Sunday, on the call of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as there was a crisis of agro workers due to corona situation.

Dulal Sarkar, a farmer of Khatiakhali village in Keshabpur upazila, said he was very worried about the ripe paddy in his field due to labor crisis and rain-soaked winds in the lockdown to prevent corona virus. 

Being aware of the matter, President of the association Sufalakati UP Chairman Abdus Samad Master, General Secretary Headmaster Maqbool Hossain, Vice-President Headmaster Basudev Sengupta, Assistant-Secretary (Finance) Headmaster Ashrafuzzaman, Head of Women's Affairs Secretary Teacher Prabhat Kumar Kundu and others helped him by cutting ripe paddy from his field.

In this regard, President of the association UP Chairman Abdus Samad Master said, "We are cooperating with the farmers by cutting paddy at the call of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina." 

He also urged all the teachers of the upazila to cooperate with the farmers by cutting paddy. He also requested Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to nationalize all secondary schools on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 

At the same time, he prayed to Allah to save the country and the world from the virus. Moreover, he expressed his firm conviction to be by the side of the people in any crisis of the country.
