TCB goods sale at subsidised rate starts in Jhenaidah

Customers demand additional quantity

Open market sale of the essential commodities of trading corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) was started in Jhenaidah on Thursday. Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Jhenaidah Manira Begum inaugurated the selling event at Old DC Court premises. Additional deputy Commissioner ADC) Salim Reza, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) SM Shahin and upazila election officer (UEO) Mashiur Rahman were present during the inaugural session.

District administration office sources said each of the customers will receive two litres of soyabean oil at Taka 220, two kilograms of lentil at Taka 130 and sugar at Taka 55 a kilogram. A total of 120,133 persons will enjoy the essentials goods in a month showing their cards through 41 TCB dealers in six upazilas. A number of customers upon receiving the essential goods said as it kills their time, they might be benefited if the  quantity of the goods might be doubled to ease their sufferings.
