Renowned actor, producer, playwright Tauquir Ahmed will act in a web series for the first time titled ‘Blackmail’ directed by AB Pritom.
The shooting of the 6-episode web series has started on Tuesday in capital’s Uttara. The shooting will end today, said the director.
Regarding the story of the web series, director AB Pritom said, “Tauquir is playing the role of a police officer in the web series. The story is built based on the terrorist incident in the officer’s house.”
Tauquir Ahmed appears on the screen of the story and the role is extraordinary. “The director had asked me before about the story and my role,” he said regarding the acting in the series.
“After learning everything, I agreed to act in it. Hopefully, the work will be enjoyable for the audience”, he added.
Apart from Tauquir, the popular actress Nusrat Imroz Tisha, Syed Babu, Arash, Bayojit, Nisha and many more are also starring in ‘Blackmail’. It is learned that the web series will be published soon.
Meanwhile, Tauquir Ahmed is focused on making films. Last time, he directed the film ‘Fagun Hawa’. Now he is preparing for another new film. On the other hand, three plays directed by him were aired on different television channels during the last Eid-ul-Adha. Apart from directing, he also acted in these. In addition, his film ‘Beauty Circus’ directed by Mahmud Didar is awaiting release.
