Faridul Kabir Talukdar Shameem, President of the Jamalpur District BNP, has expressed strong confidence that under the "visionary leadership" of Tarique Rahman, Bangladesh's economy, along with its agricultural, industrial, and service sectors, will advance rapidly.
He made these remarks while addressing a gathering as the chief guest at a public meeting organized by the Pogoldigha Union BNP on Thursday afternoon. The event was held at the Jamuna Fertilizer Factory truck stand ground for party leaders and activists from Wards 7, 8, and 9.
"This is our commitment, this is our conviction," Shameem stated, outlining a vision of new employment opportunities, new enterprises, and improved living standards for the people of Bangladesh under Rahman's guidance. "The old politics will no longer continue in Bangladesh. Tarique Rahman will offer a new form of politics and a new social system."
Addressing the party workers, the district BNP President emphasized that politics should be conducted for the service of the people and for honor. "We must move away from the mindset of becoming a leader only to exert undue influence, because we are committed to building the nation," he told the assembled crowd.
The meeting was presided over by Pogoldigha Union BNP President Mamun-or-Rashid Fakir and conducted by General Secretary Rashedul Islam Ranju.
The event was also attended by a number of local BNP leaders, including upazila and union-level office bearers from the party and its associated wings, who also addressed the gathering.
