BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday afternoon for the reception venue in 300 feet area in a bulletproof bus.
The bus carrying Tarique Rahman and others departed the airport for the reception venue at 12:40 pm where he is scheduled to briefly address a massive gathering.
Thousands of BNP leaders and activists have already gathered on both sides of the road and at the venue to catch a glimpse of the party leader.

Painted in red and green, the bus features large portraits of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and party founder Ziaur Rahman on its sides.
Earlier, a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying Tarique Rahman landed at the airport at 11:44 am after departing from Sylhet.
