Popular singer-lyricist-music director Tanvir Tareq performed at Nagorik Café, an audience-admired live musical show on Nagorik TV, yesterday at 11:20pm.
Through his performance, Tanvir paid rich tribute to three of his music gurus (teachers)--late music maestros Sanjeeb Chowdhury, Lucky Akhand and Ayub Bachchu (AB).
The singer shared his plans about the show, “Late eminent journalist-singer Sanjeeb Chowdhury is the name of my first shelter in this city. Recalling his memory, I will perform a song.”
“Lucky Akhand sir was the person from whom I took my first lesson on guitar. I still can remember he presented me with a guitar as I had no money to buy one. Even, almost free of cost, he taught me guitar for a year. I am planning to start tonight’s show with his famous song ‘Ei Nil Monihar.”
“On the other hand, Rock legend AB was my unwritten guardian in this city. He had also sung a few songs written by me in his lifetime. I have so many memories with him. I will render several of his songs at the show tonight,” he added while recalling his fond memories about AB.
Tanvir is very optimistic about his performance and he believes the show was enjoyed by his fans and audience. Accompanied by seven musicians, Tanvir with Friends performed at Nagorik Café until 1am.
