Deputy Inspector General of Police (Special Branch) Saleh Mohammed Tanvir has been made Director (DIG) of National Security Intelligence (NSI).
Tanvir will replace the current Director (promoted to the post of Additional Inspector General of Police) Selim Md Jahangir.
A notification in this regard signed by Deputy Secretary Abdullah Arif Mohammad has been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday.
According to the notification, DIG (Special Branch) Saleh Mohammed Tanvir has been made Director (DIG) of NSI. At the same time, his job has been transferred to the Prime Minister’s office.
In the same notification, the current Director (promoted to the post of Additional Inspector General of Police), Selim Md Jahangir, has withdrawn from his current post and transferred his service to the Public Security Division.
