Dietitian Akhi places three suggestions for preventing coronavirus

Dietitian Umme Atika Mollik Akhi gave three suggestions to avoid coronavirus disease in the country. The suggestions are: stay alone, keep oneself clean and take anti-virus protected food. 

Former Intern-Dietitian of BIRDEM and Social Worker Umme Atika Mollik Akhi said, “Stay alone, maintain social distance and do not attend public gathering. If your are needed to go out for any urgent work, use  mask and hand gloves.”

She called upon all to wash hands with water and soap properly before touching nose, eyes and mouth. Both hands must be washed using soaps or sanitisers before and after eating. 

As a dietitian, she urged all to take some selected food for prevention of virus. The foods are vegetables (green or red) or bitter gourd or tomato, sweet fishes or meat (not more than 100-gram) or egg, lemon, seasonal fruits of Bangladesh (one piece daily or a little), carrot, rice or bread and enough drinking water.

She said, “I think, we will defeat the coronavirus with our unity. We must not pay heed to any rumor.”

It may be mentioned here that she campaigned against coronavirus through personal initiatives for following the three suggestions at village Boalia in Sadar upazila and Bhangbaria in Alamdanga upazila of the district.
