World Miss University 2017 champion Tahmina Othoi begins her journey as a heroine by acting in the movie 'Kalbela' by the late director and actor Saidul Anam Tutul. Saidul Anam Tutul passed away before the work of the film was completed.
The heroine of the movie, Othoi, said that the dubbing of the film has already been completed and other ancillary works are underway. Also, plans are underway to release the film on the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman next year.
Meanwhile, for the first time, Tahmina Othoi is acting in a movie under the direction of Manik Manobik titled ‘Chheleti Odbhut’. Tahmina Othoi said that fifty percent of the film’s shooting has already been completed. In the movie she is playing the role of Molly. Tahmina Othoi said work on the next lot of the movie’s shooting will start soon. Also, the work for Raihan Anowar directed ‘Chatrala Express’ is expected to start soon. Ferdous Ahmed will play opposite to her in the film.
Manik Manobik's film is doing very well too. Previously Tahmina Othoi acted in the Eid drama titled ‘Prem Jeno Ek Projapoti’ directed by Manik Manobik. She is also the presenter of the TV show’ Ananado Utshab’ aired on Duronto TV. Twenty-six episodes of the show have been aired so far.
She completed her Honors in Drama and Theatrics and her Masters in Performing Arts this year from Chattogram University.
