Bangladesh Taekwondo team won gold medal in the 3rd Kathmandu International Taekwondo Championship that concluded recently in Kathmandu, Nepal, said a
Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation press release on Thursday, reports BSS.
The Bangladesh taekwondo team representing Dipu Chakma of Bangladesh Army won the gold medal in the poomsae category
U-39 men’s senior singles section while Kamrul Islam of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP secured silver in the competition.
The achievement boosted
their confidence ahead of the 13th South Asian Games and
the players are very much
hopeful to win the medal in the SA Games.
M Moslem Mia was the in charge of manager and coach of the taekwondo team.
About 800 players from 12 countries took part in the competition in different categories.
