Sylhet-based band Oirabot has released a new single, 'Ondho Obisshash' (Blind Disbelief), as part of their debut album 'Harano Biggopti' (Lost Notice). This latest track is the fifth song from the album, which will feature nine original songs that mix Sylhet’s folk music with modern rock.
Formed in 2016, Oirabot has been attracting listeners with a unique musical style and lyrics that dive into life’s complex themes. The band members include Mehrab Chowdhury, who leads with vocals and lyrics, Saymon Khan on bass, Anik Deb on guitar, Nilanjan Das Suny on drums, and Narayan Deb Liton on keyboards. Mehrab describes their band as “pro-life” and explains that they aim to bring “color through melody and texture through words.”
'Ondho Obisshash' explores how both belief and disbelief can be blind. Using strong rock sounds and reflective lyrics, the song invites listeners to question how we view certainty and doubt in our lives. Previous releases from Oirabot, such as 'Guruchandali' and the title track 'Harano Biggopti,' have already built them a loyal fanbase. Their music has reached over 160,000 streams on Spotify and 1.9 million views on YouTube, highlighting their growing popularity in Bangladesh's music scene.
Fans can enjoy the full album 'Harano Biggopti' soon, as it will be available on all major music platforms. Those interested can follow Oirabot on Spotify, YouTube, and Facebook for updates and new releases.
