Sustainable social and economic development depends on adequate power generation capacity of the country, said experts participating in the 7th Renewable Energy Show 2022, held at the ICCB, Dhaka.
They opined that there is no other way for accelerating development except to increase the power generation by fuel diversification. Development of renewable energy is one of the important strategy can be adopted as part of fuel diversification program.
This three day exhibition, starting from 20th October, ended on Saturday at International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Md. Faizul Alam of, Savor International said “Bangladesh is Semi Tropical region lying in north-eastern part of South Asia and get abundant Sunlight year around. This indicates that their good prospects of solar thermal and photovoltaic application in the country. The Average insulation in Bangladesh is 5 KWH/M2/Day. There are prospects for coastal areas for other renewable energy resources wind power, tidal energy and wave energy. Geothermal energy is also potential source for north-west and north-east region of the country.”
The participation of India Pavilion in 7th Renewable Energy Show 2022 is organised by Savor International Limited and Green Society of India, supported by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSME), Government of India.
