A human chain and gathering was held at Picture islaud More in Khulna city on Saturday demanding construction of a permanent and sustainable embankment in the coastal area.
The program was jointly organised by the Sundarbans and Coastal Protection Movement, the Coastal Alliance for Environmental Protection, Leaders and Conscious Organisations.
Nikhil Chandra Bhadra, Coordinator of the Sundarbans and Coastal Protection Movement, presided over the programme.
Convener of the Alliance SM Shahnawaz Ali, President of Agriculture and Environment Protection Movement Freedom Fighter Shyamal Singha Roy Bablu and others spoke at the programme.
The human chain was moderated by SM Iqbal Hossain Biplob, Member Secretary of the Coastal Alliance for Environmental Protection and CDP Khulna Coordinator.
