SUST provides Dean's Award for research excellence

Six Faculty of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) have received Dean's Award for Research Excellence – 2022.

Vice Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed was present as chief guest at the event held at the University's Mini Auditorium on Wednesdayorganized by School of Applied Sciences and Technology.

In his speech of Chief Guest, Farid Uddin Ahmed said that the Dean's Award has been introduced as a recognition of the research work, including the growth of research in the formation of a complete education and research-based university. I believe that all those who have received the award, will do more research in the future and work for the welfare of the country and the nation."

Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Kabir Hossain spoke as a special guest at the event with Dean of School of Applied Sciences and Technology Md. Ariful Islam in the chair. Professor Dr. Md. Jahirul Islam and Treasurer Professor Amina Parveen also spoke.

This year Dean's Award was given to researchers of the School of Applied Sciences and Technology in three categories.  

In category-1(Bangla Speech Emotional and Cross-Lingual Study Using Deep CNN and BLSTM networks for the research paper) was given to Dr. Sadia Sultana and her co-authors. 

In category-2 (For the research paper entitled A Comparative Study of Heavy Metal Exposure Risk from Consumption of Some Common Species of Cultured and Captured Fishes of Bangladesh) the Dean's Award was presented to Mohammad Roozlan Habib and co-authors of the research paper. Co-author Professor Dr. Md. Professor MozammelHaque. Mohammad Roozlan accepted the award on behalf of Habib.  

In category-3 (for the research paper entitled Critical Barriers to Industry 4.0 Adoption in Manufacturing Organizations and Their Mitigation Strategies) Awards were presented to Ahmed Sayem and his co-authors.
