Various faculties of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) received Vice-Chancellor's Award 2023 for doing well in research. University Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the award ceremony.
The ceremony was held on Wednesday (November 22) at noon in the meeting room of the university administration building.
In a short speech on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said that this university is one of the best universities in research. Every year, international quality research is published in various international journals. The research budget has already been increased 7 times. Digital library, turn it in software has been launched to enhance research quality.
Recruitment of distinguished professors is ongoing to enhance international ranking. I believe with everyone's cooperation we will move forward.
At this time, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Kabir Hossain, spoke as the special guest, while director of SUST research center Professor Dr. SM Saiful Islam, Professor Dr. Mostak Ahmed, Professor Dr. A ZM Manzoor Rashid, Professor Dr. Md. Hannan, Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin, Professor Dr. Shamsul Haque Chief, Transport Administrator Prof. Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Professor Dr. Shamim Ahmed, among others.
The award was also given to Associate Professor of the Department of Food Engineering and Technology (FET) under the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology Afzal Hossain, Assistant Professor of the Department of Oceanography, Faculty of Physical Sciences. Solaiman Hossain, Professor of Sociology faculty of Social Sciences, Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Professor of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (GEB) Department of Life Sciences. Md. Shamsul Haque.
