For the first time, Bangladesh is going to compete in Miss Universe. This competition will be held in South Korea on December 19 of this year.
Registration process has already begun in Bangladesh ahead of the Miss Universe competition. It will run until the 14th of September. Interested people can register at http://www.missuniverse.com.bd. Already, 8,000 contestants have registered to participate in the competition.
The main competition will be Grooming and Filming Round. The final phase of the Miss Universe Bangladesh Competition will be held on October 23, following various steps in phases. Whoever wins, she will take part in the Miss Universe competition.
The organizers said this at a press conference at a five-star hotel in the capital on Saturday (September 7).
Bollywood star Sushmita Sen will attend the final of the Miss Universe contest. Sushmita Sen won the Miss Universe competition in the 1994.
Miss Universe Bangladesh Chairman Rezwar Bin Farooq, Managing Director of the competition's title sponsor Flora Bank, fashion designer Tutley Rahman and many others were present at the press conference.
"We will have transparency in judging the competition," said Rezwan Bin Farooq, chairman of the competition. “Sushmita Sen along with ten others will be in charge of the judge. We hope to be able to complete the competition with 100% honesty.”
