The trailer of upcoming Disney Plus Hotstar web series Aarya is out. It marks the return of Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen to acting after a gap of five years.
The trailer promises an engaging web series where Aarya (Sen) transforms from a dutiful mother and good wife to a fierce woman after her husband is shot dead in broad daylight. She takes over his business of illegal medicines and is willing to go to any length to protect her three children.
Now, how she manages to deal with the constant threats from her husband’s business partners while being under constant police scrutiny for running an international drug racket in the garb of a medicine business, leaves one intrigued.
Neerja fame Ram Madhvani, who has written and directed Aarya, seems to have packed the web series with several twists.
Sushmita Sen seems to have gotten a perfect comeback with Aarya. Aarya is said to be a remake of the Dutch crime thriller titled Penoza. Apart from Sushmita, the web series stars Chandrachur Singh, Namit Das, Sikandar Kher, Manish Chaudhari, Vinod Rawat, Ankur Bhatia, Alexx O’Nell and Sugandha Garg among others. It will begin streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from June 19. -Indian Express
