Sushama Sarker, a model-actress in the acting industry, who has a number of films to her credit, is a very popular face among the audience.
Making a strong footing in small and big screen projects, she is also a theatre artiste who is mostly known to all for portraying the role of Draupadi in ‘Nityapuran’ by renowned theatre troupe Desh Natok.
Now on the occasion of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community, the theatre troupe is gearing up for their latest show of ‘Nityapuran’ which is set to take place at the Kali Mandir in Basabo on October 5.
Written and directed by Masum Reza, the play ‘Nityapuran’ has recently successfully completed its 101st show.
Regarding the 102nd show of the play, Sushama said, “Durga Puja is the biggest religious festival of our Hindu community. On such auspicious occasion, I am very pleased that I will be able to appear as Draupadi through ‘Nityapuran’. I am eagerly waiting for the day.”
Sushama will be soon seen in Desh Natok’s new theatre production titled ‘Jal Basar’, written and directed by Masum Reza, informs the actress herself. However, the premiere show of the production has not been confirmed yet.
To note, working side by side with Desh Natok since 2000, the actress has acted in Desh Natok’s plays ‘Jonme Jonmantor’ and ‘Birsa Kabya’ during her involvement with the troupe.
