The Bangladesh team left for Sri Lanka to play a two-match Test series on Monday. Bangladesh team leader Khaled Mahmud Sujon said that the tigers do not want to make the same mistakes and want to play their best cricket in the familiar condition of Sri Lanka.

The recently concluded New Zealand tour did not go well for Bangladesh. As a result, they had to return home losing all three ODIs and Twenty20 matches. Speaking to the media Sujon said, Bangladesh doesn’t want to repeat the old mistakes. He also said that victory is not impossible if they play their best cricket.

“Of course we want to win. We want to play the best cricket there. The team that plays well will definitely win. The five-day game will have to proceed session by session. In the Chittagong Test (against West Indies) we lost even after dominating for four days, we don't want to repeat that. We have to stay focused for a long time,” said Sujon.

“Although we didn’t do well in the last Test. We are capable of doing it. Yet we did not play well in New Zealand, but we will play in a different environment in Sri Lanka. I have played before, we know the condition there. I don't know if we've played in Kandy before, but we've played in Colombo, we know the conditions there. We will try to play our best cricket. If we can play our best cricket, I think we are capable.”

After going to Sri Lanka, Tigers will start their training after three-day quarantine. The warm-up match between them will be held on April 17-18. The first Test of the two-match series will be played at the same venue on April 21-25 and the second and final Test on April 29-May 3.
