Sufia Kashem Foundation in Jhenidah had distributed relief items among 500 needy people. The relief was distributed at Arappur area in the municipality town on Wednesday morning when the low income and jobless people were stranded at home and finding no alternative to food items.
Some elderly needy women when asked about their reaction over receiving the relief said it will help them solve the food crisis for a few days ahead of Iid Ul Fitr when they were passing time hard.
Mazur Hasan Masud, executive director of Sufia Kashem Foundation, also managing director of Nexus Motors said they had distributed rice, pulse, sugar, edible oil soap and other necessary kitchen items for the distressed people confined at home due to novel corona virus. The initiative will help some of the people to enjoy at their houses for a few days. Masud said.
