Students urged to work for superstition-free society

Md Ehsan-E-Elahi, Additional Secretary of Road Transport and Bridges Ministry, has said that the social platforms play a vital role in flourishing merit of the students. He called upon the students of Kanaighat upazila in Sylhet to work for building a superstition-free upazila as well the society.
He was speaking at an education conference at a hotel in Sylhet city on Saturday. Kanaighat Student Association arranged the event.
Asif Ajhar, president of the organisation, chaired the education conference, while its acting general secretary M. Sabbir Ahmed and organising secretary Shamsul Islam Chowdhury conducted the programme. It was addressed, among others, by associate professor of Delta Medical College Dr Md Harunur Rashid, freedom fighter Mujibur Rahman Manik, and Additional Registrar of Sylhet Agricultural University AKM Fazlur Rahman.
In his speech, Md Ehsan-E-Elahi lauded the role of Kanaighat Student Association as they are working to build a developed and education-oriented upazila. He said that education is the main way for development. The students of Kanaighat upazila have to come forward to build a developed and superstition-free upazila through knowledge, he added.
Asif Ajhar said that they are working for betterment of students of Kanaighat and overall development of the upazila. They will continue their efforts.
Meanwhile, a number of meritorious students of Kanaighat upazila were accorded reception at the function. The chief guest and other guests handed over crests to them.
