Students belonging to Anti-discrimination student movements will sell vegetables and essential commodities at fair prices in Khulna city from Sunday aimed at breaking the syndicate and bring back comfort among the common people.
A group of students in Khulna will begin selling essential goods including vegetables at fair prices to challenge the price-fixing of the syndicates.
The initiative will begin at city’s Shibbari Square, Boyra Bazar Intersection, Natun Bazar Mor, Gallamari Hall Road Mor, Daulatpur Bus Stand and BIDC Road near Chitrali market.
The selling will start at 6:00am in the morning and to continue at 11am and again it will sit at 5pm and to remain till 8:00pm in the night, said a programme sheet issued by the students.
A Student leader of anti-discrimination movements sent essential commodities selling programme to local journalists here today.
Shoppers hoped that the student prices will be cheaper than the market rates which would make the people highly beneficial.
