A few miscreants have illegally tried to occupy Thakurgaon Adarsh Government Primary School’s ground at night, with some tin fence, however, later in the morning the fence was removed by students and school authorities.

On Friday morning, local parents and school children were seen removing the tin fence. Students say we will not allow any kind of tin fence in our school playground.

It is learned that the school was established as a private primary school in 1987 and in 2013 it was listed as a government primary school. The total land area of the school is 33 percent.

On 15 percent of the school land, zizar Rahman Gamma, Md. Mostafizur Rahman Lincoln and Mostaq Ahmed Nishat built a tin fence and put up a signboard claiming ownership of the land through ancestral and purchase sources on Thursday night.

The next day when the students came at school, they informed the headmaster of the school about the matter. Later, in the presence of the school headmaster and the school managing committee, the students removed the tin fence provided on the school grounds.

Mostafizur Rahman Lincoln, who claimed ownership of the land in this regard, said, "I have set up a fence on my land. They have forcibly removed them. I have the paper and proof that I am the owner of the land.”

According to the local guardians, it cannot be the job of a decent person to occupy the field of an educational institution with a tin fence during night.

If someone is the real owner of the land then they should take legal action. Mr. Ekramuddaula, Municipal Councilor of the 12th Ward, said it was wrong to occupy a government school ground during night.
