Police obstructed the human chain formed by General Students of Noakhali, demanding punishment of the killers of BUET student Abrar Fahad at Town Hall Mor in Noakhali on Tuesday morning.
Later, general students ignored police obstruction and formed a human chain in front of Noakhali Press Club. At that time, students from different universities, colleges and madrasas participate in the human chain.
Chanting slogans, they demanded exemplary punishment of the killers as soon as possible so that no such incident can take place in future.
According to students, they only stood at the Town Hall mor. They wanted to perform their programme quietly. However, Police of Sudharam Police Station obstructed them on the ground that formation of a human chain in Noakhali is not lawful for the incident that took place in Dhaka.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) admitted the incident.
