Students of Kabi Nazrul Government College and Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College are currently clashing with students of Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College (DMRC) at Demra in the capital city of Dhaka.
Many have reportedly been injured during the clash while valuables of the college were looted.
Earlier in the morning, students from both Kabi Nazrul College and Shaheed Suhrawardy College announced events today (25 November) called "Mega Monday" in protest against the attacks and vandalism on their college campuses on Sunday.
Locals are now also involved in the scuffle as fears of attacks on nearby schools have risen.
Students of Kabi Nazrul Government College are chanting slogans on the campus premises, demanding justice for the students of the colleges involved in yesterday's attacks, including those from DMRC.
"Students from DMRC yesterday declared 'Super Sunday' and attacked our college and Suhrawardy College. In response, we have announced the 'Mega Monday' event today," said Fahad, a student of Kabi Nazrul College.
Anik, another student from the college, said, "We do not want to cause inconvenience to the government and the public in any way. However, we want to give a resounding response to the attack on our brothers and sisters."
Meanwhile, students from Suhrawardy College were positioned at the campus's main gate around 10am this morning.
During this time, members of the police were seen stationed nearby.
Aftab Ahmed, a student from Suhrawardy College, said, "DMRC has committed a grave injustice by attacking us. They will have to face the consequences."
