A bicycle rally was held in Kalapara, Patuakhali on Friday under the theme “Stand Against Genocide, Destruction, and Chaos” to promote rights, employment, justice, democracy, and a meaningful life.
Organised by “Dharitri Rokkhay Amra (DHORA)” and volunteer group “Amra Kalaparabashi,” the rally began at 11:00 AM from the Helipad Field near the Andharmanik River and moved through the town’s main roads, ending in front of the Press Club.
Over a hundred students from various schools and colleges participated, carrying placards highlighting the importance of protecting the environment and ecosystem. Prior to the rally, a discussion was held at the Helipad Field where speakers, including Press Club President Nesar Uddin Ahmed Tipu, Secretary Amal Mukharjee, environmental activist Mezbaha Uddin Mannu, and former president of Amra Kalaparabashi, Nazrul Islam, urged everyone to come forward to stop global genocide and protect the planet for a livable future.
