Police have recovered the body of a child named Oliullah (10) from a pond adjacent to the madrasa in Kishoreganj. The body of the child was recovered from a pond adjacent to Azim Haji Darul Uloom Madrasa in BoulaiAzim Bazar area of KishoreganjSadar Upazila on Tuesday (September 15) morning.
The deceased was identified as Oliullah, a student of Noorani branch of the madrasa. He is the son of Mojibur Rahman of DakshinNanshree village in the adjoining Karimganj upazila.
Police and madrasa sources said Oliullah had not been seen at the madrasa since noon on Monday (September 14th). On Tuesday (September 15) morning, locals saw his body floating in a pond adjacent to the madrasa and informed the KishoreganjSadar Model Police Station. Upon receiving the news, the police went to the spot and recovered Oliullah's body. Three teachers of the madrasa were taken to the police station for questioning.
Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Bakar Siddique told that the body of the child was recovered from the pond and sent to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital Morgue for autopsy. Police are also working to unravel the mystery of the child's death.
