Stolen kid rescued from Satkhira

Police have rescued two-year old child Tasin from Sonabaria village in Kolaroa Upazila of Satkhira district after three days ,who was stolen from Bagachra three days ago. Two people were arrested in connection with the theft of child.

After the rescue, the child was returned to his parents. Uttam Kumar Biswas, officer-in-charge of Bagachara police outpost, said the information about the rescue of child Tasin on Saturday night. Salma Khatun, 23, and Lutfar Gazi, 55, were arrested on suspicion of involvement.

Detained Salma Khatun is the wife of Milon Ghazi of Kolaroa Sonabaria village and Lutfar Gazi is the son of Basher Gazir of the same village.

It is learned that on January 20, an unidentified female NGO worker went to the house of child  Tasin and showed her greed to get a pregnancy card.

According to that, the unidentified woman NGO worker went to Ashraful's house and brought Tasin's mother and grandfather to Bagachara Bazar on Wednesday morning to pay 30,000 taka. 

At one stage, when they both entered the Rifat Hotel in Bagachara Bazar for breakfast, the NGO worker arrange to sit Tasin's mother and grandfather for breakfast. And she took Tasin to herself and managed to escape from the hotel. After much searching, the child Tasin and the NGO woman could not be found.

After that, they started a search operation to rescue the child Tasim from various places. Later father of the  child Ashraful filed a complain to the Bagchra Police out post. Child Tasin was rescued from Sonabaria village of Kalaroa police station in Satkhira district on Saturday night with the joint efforts of Sharsha police, Bagachara outpost and PBI.

Uttam Kumar Biswas, officer-in-charge of Bagachara outpost, said, "After the baby Tasin was stolen, we went to the field to rescue her." With the help of Sharsha police and PBI, Kalaroa was able to rescue her from Sonabaria. And was able to detain them for the crime of being involved in it.
