After witnessing a downward trend in the last session of the week, stocks today rebounded in the Dhaka and Chittagong stock exchanges as investors remained active on sector-wise issues, reports BSS.
DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 88.49 points or 1.74 per cent to settle at 5,177.48. Two other indices also edged higher. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 43.53 points to finish at 1,944.65 and the DSE Shariah Index gained 16.56 points to close at 1,182.72.
Turnover, a crucial indicator of the market, stood at Taka 2366.074 million, which was Taka 5211.726 million at the previous session of the week.
