Stocks on Thursday performed mixed with major indices finishing flat.
The broader DSEX index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) closed the day with 1.18 points up at 6,246.21.
The blue-chip DS30 closed the day with 2.17 points up at 2,224.20. But the Shariah DSES close the day with 0.23 point down at 1,366.62.
The day's trade value at DSE decreased to Taka 3,403.30 million which was Taka 4,314.96 million at the previous session of the week.
At DSE, out of the day's 314 securities, prices of 42 securities closed higher against 127 losing issues.
The major gaining issues were GLDNJMF, AMBEEPHA, ADNTEL, STYLECRAFT and RELIANCINS.
The major losing companies were AL-HAJTEX, BDLAMPS , BDTHAIFOOD, MONOSPOOL and METROSPIN.
BSC topped the turnover list followed by SP Ceramics, APEXFOOT, GENEXIL and SONALIPAPR.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) closed the day of the week with a downward trend with its major CASPI 7 points down at 18,427.95.
At CSE, 118 issues were traded. Of those, 22 closed higher and 55 closed lower when 5.87 lakh shares worth Taka 3.49 crore changed hands.
