Sthanio Shaheed Dibos observed in Chuadanga

Sthanio Shaheed Dibos was observed under the auspices of District Administration, District Awami League and Muktijoddha Sangsad at Aatkobo in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district following hoisting of national flag, placing wreaths and doa session on Friday. 

District Awamileague, led by Ali Azgor Togar, MP 0f Chuadanga-2 constituency and vice president of District Awamileague along with other leaders, its wing organizations,  Muktijoddha Sangsad, placed wreaths at the monument of 8 martyred freed fighters.  A discussion meeting was held on the day. The meeting was presided over by Ali Ajgor Togar, MP of Chuadanga-2 constituency and vice president of district awamileague. It was addressed by Nasiruddin Ahmed, vice president of district awamileague, Riajul Islam Joarder Toton, joint secretary of district awamileague, Munsi Alamgir Hannan, organizing secretary of district awamileague, Mahfujur Rahman Monju, general secretary of Damurhuda uapazila awamileague,  Alauddin Hela, Chuadanga Poura Awamileague general secretary and Noorul Islam Malik, freedom fighter. 

A doa mofil was arranged on the day. Special prayer was offered over progressing of the nation and peace for soul of the martyrs.  It may mentioned here , August 5 in 1971, 8 brave freedom fighters were martyred in front fight with Pakistani Occupation Army members at village Jagannathpur in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district.  

The martyred freedom fighters are Hasan Jaman, son of Yakub Ali of village Gokulkhali in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga district, Khaled Saifuddin Tarek, son Mohiuddin Ahmmed of village Katadah in Mirpur upazila of Kushtia district, Rowsan Alam, son of Azizur Rahman of village Botiapara in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga district, Alaul Islam Khokon, son of Mohiuddin Ahmed of Sheikhpara in Chuadanga district town, Abul Kashem, son of Bozlur Rahman of Majherpara in Chuadanga district town, Robiul Islam, son of Siddik Ahmed of village Mominpur in sadar upazila of Chuadanga district, Kiamuddin, son of Rohim Mondal of village Roakuli in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga district and Afajuddin, son of Romjan Ali of village Chandrabas in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district

On the orders of the Pak Army, Razakars buried the 8 martyred freedom fighters in two pits side by side on the land of Kitab Halsena of village Jaganathpur in Damurhuda upazila.

People of Chuadanga do not forget the martyred. So a mausoleum has been built for eight martyrs at Jagannathpur village in Damurhuda upazila on an acre of land on July 8 in 1998. At present this place has been named 'Aatkabar' around the graves of these eight freedom fighters. 

Besides a museum ( Aatkabar Srmiti Complex) has been made for visitors near the grave. The images of brutal torture on Bengalis during the liberation war and other leaders of liberation war including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahaman along with others family members are displayed there. These have been completed on August 2010 by Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP of Chuadanga-1 constituency and president of Chuadanga district awamileague.
