Steps taken to harness blue economy potential

Cox's Bazar Development Authority has taken various steps to move the country forward by harnessing the resources of the Blue Economy, focus on climate resilience and adaptation, exploiting the geopolitical rivalry in the Bay of Bengal. 

Cox's Bazar Development Authority is working to build an eco-friendly tourist city for the next generation. And for that purpose, Cox's Bazar Development Authority has undertaken the country's largest master plan project.

Commodore Mohammed Nurul Absar, Chairman of Cox's Bazar Development Authority said these things during an exchange of views with the fellows at the Internal Study Tour of Capstone Course-2023/2 on Thursday (September 14) at 10 am.

He said that the master plan taken by someone is being implemented one by one. Already many things have changed and many projects including mega projects are ongoing. The chairman said that after completing the development projects undertaken within a few years, an improved model will be presented to Cox's Bazar.

 In the exchange meeting organized in the conference room of Cox's Bazar Development Authority, Kouk Chairman said, "The government has undertaken a comprehensive development plan in Cox's Bazar." Incredible development has already been completed in this district. Apart from the ongoing development, master plan initiatives have been taken to make Cox's Bazar the most beautiful and tourism zone in keeping with the world. Among them, plans have been made to set up Cox's Bazar to Maheshkhali and Cox's Bazar to Teknaf cable cars. Huge Under Sea Aquarium at Sabrang Tourism Park, Circular Bus Terminal, Marina Bay Resort, Khurushkul Smart City, Theme Park, Eco Resort, Riverrain Tourism at Chouldandi, Sea-plane management from Cox's Bazar to St. Martin has been undertaken. 

And we are working to implement these developments as soon as possible.

He also said, Coke is working to set up Sewage Treatment Plant, 150 feet widening of Bankkhali River and International Convenience Center in Cox's Bazar. Cox's Bazar Development Authority is also making arrangements so that foreign tourists can exchange currency in Cox's Bazar.
