Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said all kinds of measures have been taken so that the people can reach their destinations without hassle while making their Eid journey.

Apart from this, security measures have been arranged during Iftar, Tarabi, and Sehri in such a way that the safety of people is not disturbed, he said.

IGP made the remakes during a courtesy meeting with the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) leaders at the police headquarters on Tuesday.

Regarding the traffic jam, IGP said that the DMP commissioner broke the fast on the road to solve the traffic jam at the time of Iftar. Every member of the traffic is working tirelessly to decongest the traffic.

Besides, he added that the policemen are alert to maintain law and order during Ramadan.

Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun also said that police officers across the country have been given instructions to ensure the safety and service of the people.

He said the policy of ‘zero tolerance’ on militancy, terrorism, extortion and drugs continues and will continue in the future.

Referring to the policy of ‘zero tolerance’ in the case of drugs, the police chief said that even if any member of the police is involved in these cases, the policy of ‘zero tolerance’ is being shown.

At this time, CRAB president Kamruzzaman Khan, general secretary Sirazul Islam, and committee leaders were present.
