Anna Diop, who plays Kory Anders, a.k.a. Starfire on HBO Max's Titans, confirms that the heroine will finally start to fly in season 4.
Titans season 4 will officially see Starfire fly, according to Anna Diop, who portrays the popular DC heroine. One of HBO Max's biggest DC TV shows is fully into the swing of things as Titans season 4, part 1 is seeing the titular heroes go up against the Church of Blood; Mother Mayhem is one of the new big bads, and Brother Blood's reign is coming up. While Sebastian Sanger has yet to become Brother Blood, Titans season 4 is going through the journey that will ultimately get him there.
In a recent interview with Chicago Go Pride, Diop chats about what's coming up for Starfire throughout Titans season 4. When asked if Diop has any major Starfire stunts in the new season that stood out, the Titans star drops a pretty big spoiler in relation to upcoming fight sequences. According to Diop, Starfire will finally fly, which has always been one of Kory's iconic abilities from the comics.
Starfire, who is one of the Teen Titans' most popular members throughout all kinds of media, has always been depicted as being able to fly. However, throughout Titans' run, this Kory has yet to demonstrate that ability. Many have always wondered why Diop's Starfire hasn't flown yet on Titans, but the first three seasons have, in a lot of ways, justified why she hasn't been able to exhibit that power. In Titans season 1, they were dealing with a Starfire who had amnesia, which was a crucial storyline throughout the show's first year.
As Starfire got her memories back, Titans' last couple of seasons have established that she is still rediscovering things about her life on Tamaran. However, as Diop mentioned herself, Starfire's powers are evolving this year, and it's because of what happened at the end of Titans season 3, where she now has blue-based powers. As Diop states in the interview, her powers have been changing throughout Titans season 4, which may be how she either gets the power to fly or perhaps re-activates an ability that she had previously.
