Shari`ah based Standard Bank Limited has launched international remittance services through bKash.
Md. Habibur Rahman, Managing Director &CEO of the bank and Ali Ahmmed, Chief Commercial Officer of bKash officially inaugurated the service recently by cutting ribbon in a ceremony held at SBL, Head Office, Dhaka.
Under this arrangement, Bangladeshi expatriates around the world will now be able to send money to their beneficiaries bKash account in Bangladesh from all branches of Banks & Exchange houses those who have remittance drawing agreement with Standard Bank including Standard Express USA and Standard Exchange Co. UK.
Among others, Md. Mohon Miah, Deputy Managing Director & Head of IRM, Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director & COO, Md. Mosharraf Hossain, SEVP & Chief Remittance officer, Md. Ali Reza, FCMA, CIPA, EVP & CFO; Sufi Tofail Ahmed, EVP &CITO of SBL and Sayed Shaikh Ibna Jilany,VP, Remittance Partnership Management, Shofiullah Shourav, Deputy General Manager, International Remittance Operation of bKash along with Senior executives from both of the organizations were also present at the event.
