Shari'ah-based Standard Bank organized a view exchange meeting on remittance with the participation of expatriate Bangladeshi businessmen in Jeddah, the port city of Saudi Arabia on Monday.
Md. Mohon Miah, Deputy Managing Director & Head of IRM of Standard Bank; chaired the meeting. Md. Habibur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank; addressed the meeting as the chief guest via virtual connection. Deputy Managing Director & COO Md. Siddiqur Rahman and Chief Remittance Officer Md. Mosharraf Hossain also virtually spoke at the meeting.
Expatriate businessman Anwar Hossain Mazumder conducted the meeting where Mejbah Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of English School, Kefayet Ullah Chowdhury Kismat CIP, Yusuf bin Rafique and Md. Hussain were present on behalf of expatriate Bangladeshis.
Md. Habibur Rahman, in his address, urged everyone to contribute to the development of the country by sending remittances through banking channels. He promised full cooperation from Standard Bank in this regard.
